Discussing and observing their current methods: determining improvements

Work with Frisco's Engineering Services
I initiated contact with the engineering service during summer and engaged in discussions to determine how I could contribute to their work. My collaboration spanned multiple departments, focusing on implementing surveillance systems and algorithms for construction monitoring that fed into monthly reports. I assisted with five drone flights, helping to optimize their existing assessment processes. The fieldwork involved direct observation of their data collection processes and environmental assessment techniques. Through this partnership, I gained valuable experience in collaboration and practical applications of drone technology in environmental assessments. This hands-on experience provided insights into both technical implementation and professional collaboration in a government setting.

The Rose Gardens of Farmers Branch
During a drone survey of the land, I captured a simple overview of their grounds. Similar to the government engineering project, this work required careful flight planning and coordination. The experience reinforced lessons about effective communication, understanding through collaboration, and the importance purposeful data collection.

Oval Rose Garden
Current Future Work: I want to conduct a drone survey to create an aerial overview of the land's layout and current landscaping features. The data collection would follow a standard flight pattern focused on capturing the unique geometry of the space. Like the previous garden project, this would require coordination and collaboration with the facility. But that's what makes innovation fun right! I will be applying lessons learned about efficient drone documentation.
